The Game a Week topic is "The Nightmare Heart"!

I decided to make a Rogue-like Rhythm game where the rhythm game part reflects in the other screen's combat. Players can choose amongst 7 different items, with different attacking/healing/shield effects and different ways of hitting the notes.

In each level, one of the 7 Sins will be the enemy target, where within the same song, the player and the enemy "take turns" to attack each other.

=========== MECHANICS===========

In Defensive mode, players hit enemy's notes to block/partially-block damage to avoid dying.

In Offensive mode, players hit notes according to their item-setup to attack/activate item effects.

To win a stage, the player has to stay alive, while killing the enemy before the song ends.
